Description
Our Cardarine powder is 2g of pure Cardarine (GW-501516) for labs that make their own solutions. It’s a PPAR-delta agonist. It’s sold for laboratory research only.
What is Cardarine (GW-501516)?
GW501516 (cardarine) is a PPAR-delta agonist developed by GlaxoSmithKline and Ligand in the 1990s. It’s often sold next to SARMs, but it works through a different receptor, one that switches on fat-burning genes in muscle.
GSK stopped development after rodent studies linked long-term high exposure to cancer in several organs. It’s on the WADA prohibited list.
How Cardarine works
PPAR-delta is a nuclear receptor. When GW501516 binds it, it pairs with the retinoid X receptor and switches on genes for taking up and burning fatty acids, such as CPT1 and PDK4.
In muscle, that shifts fuel use from glucose toward fat and pushes fibers toward the slow-twitch, fatigue-resistant type. That’s the basis for the endurance results in mice.

What the literature says about Cardarine
Narkar and colleagues showed in Cell in 2008 that GW501516 combined with exercise or with AICAR raised running endurance in mice and shifted muscle toward slow-twitch fibers.
Earlier work by Oliver and colleagues, published in PNAS in 2001, reported higher HDL cholesterol and lower triglycerides in obese rhesus monkeys.

Where Cardarine fits in the range
Cardarine is a PPAR-delta agonist studied for endurance and fat burning in mice. Here’s how the nearest options in our range differ:
- SR-9009 is a REV-ERB agonist that acts on the body clock and muscle metabolism in mice
- MK-677 is an oral ghrelin mimic that raises GH and IGF-1 and isn’t a SARM
- MK-777 is an acetylated version of MK-677 with very little published data
- RU-58841 is a topical antiandrogen that blocks the androgen receptor instead of activating it
- Ostarine is the most studied SARM, with human trial data on muscle wasting
These are often sold next to SARMs but work through other targets: PPAR-delta, REV-ERB, the ghrelin receptor or androgen blockade. Compare them in our SARM powders.
How labs prepare Cardarine powder
You get 2,050mg of Cardarine as dry crystalline powder, which is the cheapest way to buy it per milligram. Accurate work needs an analytical balance that reads to 0.1mg.
Most labs dissolve it in PEG-400 to make a stock solution. Some example strengths:
- 2000mg in 50mL gives 40mg/mL
- 2000mg in 100mL gives 20mg/mL
Warm the solvent slightly and stir until no crystals remain. A magnetic stirrer saves time.
Keeping Cardarine powder dry
Keep the pouch sealed, dry and out of light at room temperature or cooler. Moisture is the main thing to avoid, so reseal it straight after weighing.
How Sports Technology Labs tests Cardarine powder
The current certificate of analysis shows 99.87% by HPLC. The testing is done by MZ Biolabs, an independent lab in Tucson, Arizona, which also checks identity by mass spectrometry.
The COA image is in the product gallery at the top of this page, so you can read the batch result before you order.
HPLC and mass spec answer different questions. HPLC tells you what share of the sample is the main compound. Mass spec tells you the compound is the right molecule. A COA with only one of them leaves a gap.
Orders are covered by a 60-day money-back guarantee.
