What are hormone peptides?

PT-141, also called bremelanotide, is a melanocortin agonist that acts in the brain. The FDA approved it in 2019 as Vyleesi for low sexual desire in premenopausal women, so it has a full clinical record. Melanotan II, its parent compound, reaches the same receptors.

Kisspeptin-10 sits higher up the hormone chain. It activates the KISS1 receptor on GnRH neurons, which then drive LH and FSH release from the pituitary, and it’s a standard tool in fertility and puberty research.

How to choose hormone peptides

Melanocortin questions point to PT-141 or Melanotan II. Questions about LH, FSH and the reproductive axis point to Kisspeptin-10.

PT-141 is the more selective of the two melanocortin peptides, and Melanotan II also drives pigmentation.

Handling and storage
