What’s in the LGD-4033 and MK-677 stack
LGD-4033 (ligandrol, also coded VK5211) is a nonsteroidal SARM discovered by Ligand Pharmaceuticals and later licensed to Viking Therapeutics. It binds the androgen receptor with high affinity and, in animal models, acts strongly on muscle and bone while sparing the prostate.
MK-677 (ibutamoren) is an orally active, nonpeptide growth hormone secretagogue developed by Merck. It mimics ghrelin at the GHS-R1a receptor, raising growth hormone and IGF-1. It’s often sold next to SARMs, but it isn’t one.
The reasoning behind the LGD-4033 and MK-677 stack
The compounds in this stack don’t overlap: LGD-4033 binds the androgen receptor very tightly and has a phase 1 study in healthy men and MK-677 is an oral ghrelin mimic that raises GH and IGF-1 and isn’t a SARM. Mechanisms in the LGD-4033 and MK-677 stack
Like other SARMs, LGD-4033 binds the androgen receptor and the receptor complex moves into the nucleus to switch on androgen-responsive genes. Its binding is unusually tight, with a reported Ki around 1 nanomolar.
MK-677 binds GHS-R1a, the same receptor as ghrelin and the GHRP peptides, in the pituitary and hypothalamus. That boosts the size of natural GH pulses and lifts IGF-1 from the liver.

Published studies on the LGD-4033 and MK-677 stack compounds
A phase 1 study by Basaria and colleagues, published in the Journals of Gerontology in 2013, gave LGD-4033 to 76 healthy young men for 21 days. Lean body mass rose with the dose, and the study also reported dose-related drops in HDL cholesterol and testosterone.
Nass and colleagues ran a two-year trial in healthy older adults, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine in 2008. MK-677 raised GH and IGF-1 to levels seen in young adults and increased fat-free mass, with rises in fasting glucose noted.

Measuring and storing the LGD-4033 and MK-677 stack
Every bottle is 30mL with a graduated 1mL glass pipette. Since the strengths differ, label which pipette belongs to which bottle:
- LGD-4033 at 10mg/mL: 1mL holds 10mg, 300mg per bottle
